Your eyes flick across the screen. Left to right. Left to right. Left to right. By God you’ve read and re-read this thing for the twentieth time it seems. But for the umpteenth time, you scan it meticulously as to make sure that everything was spelled as it should be, the grammar made sense, and most of all, the intent was obvious.
Sherlock and John from BBC’s Sherlock.
I knew the fandom was crazy, but….this is a bit much. The moment I saw it on my dash I knew it belonged here.
Welp, don’t know about you guys, but I ain’t sleeping tonight.

Sometimes I just think about the incredible amount of pain Tony Stark must go through every day; the pain of just being alive because he has an arc reactor wired into his chest, taking up the space where his thymus and upper right atrium if his heart should be, as well as his sternum, which is meant to protect those very organs. Imagine if someone hugs him too tight? Or, if something hits him in the chest and his arc reactor just rips through his body, crushing his vena cava, the branches of his aorta, his thymus, his trachea, his bronchi, his esophagus, his spine, his heart for god’s sake? He has a metal nuclear generator wired into his ribcage…how does his skin heal around it? How tightly does it hold? What is the pain like? Is that why he drinks, to numb the pain? Is that why he drives himself to exhaustion? Because he’s living a chronic pain nightmare every day. The suit and him are one, because when he’s using the suit, the arc reactor is keeping alive more than it is killing him. Tony is Iron Man, because if he weren’t made of stronger stuff, he would be dead.

reblogging yet again because a) i’m so sooo happy how many notes this has, it really warms my heart b) i went into a fit of glee when i saw bugbrennan’s butthurt post about it (you’re damn RIGHT this has 7000 notes Bug)
Reblogging it just for that.
Also HECK YES on this blog post! I went a long time in my very queer but very sheltered life somehow not knowing these things, and I sure am glad I’ve wised up.

are you all legitimately serious?
NOTHING in life works like how you’re trying to make the otherkin tag as well as just the community in general.
Its frivolous to try and make either a total stranger or an acquaintence change what they talk about and how they do so. So what if they have a different opinion than you and dont necessarily agree with you? So what if a person doesnt believe in the possibility of you being a whatever-you-happen-to-be? It honestly is not as big of a deal as you all are making it. Some of you act like you never even fathomed the possibility of other individuals disagreeing with you.
I just find this whole drama thing laughable, but not in a good way. And I find it funny how some of you ask for acceptance, but immediately diss another like you just because of differing beliefs. Also its a little, incredibly hypocritical when some claim to be open minded, yet you cant accept anyone whose concept and paradigm are too contradicting to your own.
I hope some of you learn the concept of “agree to disagree” and get over your constant need to change others around you and instead use that energy to find others who are more akin to you. OTHERS ARE
Its a wonderful family, it became even better since Korra joined us!
